Here at Action For Humanity (AFH), we are looking for a Creative Content Lead based in our Head Office in Manchester. You will join us on a full-time basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £32,000 to £38,000 per annum (depending on experience.)

As our Creative Content Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the voice and visual identity of the organisation. You will oversee the ideation, creation, and delivery of compelling content across multimedia formats including video, social media, print, digital, and campaigns to engage supporters, increase brand visibility, and support fundraising objectives. The Creative Content Lead will manage a team of videographers, designers, and copywriters to ensure alignment with brand and strategic goals.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Creative Direction & Strategy
• Lead the development and execution of integrated content strategies across all platforms.
• Work closely with the Head of Marketing to align creative output with campaign goals and organisational priorities.
• Develop campaign themes, narratives, and storyboards in collaboration with other marketing functions.
Team Leadership
• Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary creative team including graphic designers, videographers/editors, and copywriters.
• Oversee workflow management, team resourcing, and quality control for all content output.
• Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Content Creation & Oversight
• Supervise the production of high-quality, on-brand creative assets (videos, reports, social posts, donor packs, print collateral, etc.).
• Approve key creative outputs and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Work collaboratively with fundraising, communications, and digital marketing teams to ensure content meets objectives.
Brand Management
• Uphold and evolve the organisation’s visual and narrative identity, ensuring consistency across platforms and campaigns.
• Develop and maintain creative guidelines for use internally and externally.
Project & Stakeholder Management
• Liaise with internal departments and external partners to gather briefs and translate them into creative solutions.
• Manage deadlines and prioritise work effectively in a fast-paced, campaign-driven environment.
Innovation & Trends
• Stay up to date with industry trends, audience insights, and emerging formats to ensure creative output remains innovative and engaging.
• Experiment with new tools, formats, and approaches to enhance content effectiveness.

What we are looking for in our Creative Content Lead:
Education
● Bachelors in a related field such as Marketing, Digital Marketing, Media, etc) and/or CIM level 5 or relevant experience (Essential)
● Evidence of continuous professional development
Experience
• Experience working in a charity or non-profit organisation.
• Experience managing remote or international creative teams.
• Familiarity with social media advertising formats and PPC creative best practices.
• Knowledge of international humanitarian work or similar sectors.
Skills & Attributes
• Proven experience in a senior creative or content production role, ideally within a marketing or agency environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of creative output across digital, print, and video.
• Excellent leadership and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
• Strong storytelling and visual communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision.
• Comfortable working collaboratively across departments and with external agencies or freelancers.
• Passion for humanitarian causes and empathy for those in crisis.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Languages
• Strong written and spoken English essential.
• Other languages such as Arabic, Urdu or Bengali beneficial but not essential.
