REBUILDING CLASSROOMS IN DARAA, SYRIA

REBUILDING CLASSROOMS IN DARAA, SYRIA

We're in Daraa near Damascus. Hospitals, schools, and mosques are gone. Children are trying to learn in the ruins.

REBUILDING CLASSROOMS. RESTORING FUTURES.

We’re rebuilding and renovating the only high school for girls in Daraa, a city devastated by years of war. This school is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s the only place where hundreds of young girls can access secondary education in the region.

Right now, the building is unsafe. Classrooms are damaged. Roofs are missing. And yet, 760 students still attend, determined to learn despite the conditions. Once fully restored, this school will provide a safe, supportive space for up to 1,500 girls to study, grow, and build brighter futures.

1/3

WITHOUT EDUCATION

Only 1 in 3 girls in Daraa finish secondary school. Rebuilding this school will more than double their chances.

80%

SCHOOLS DAMAGED

80% of schools in Daraa are damaged or destroyed. Children are learning in unsafe, overcrowded rooms, or not at all.

1,500

CHILDREN

This project aims to support over 1,500 girls. That’s 1,500 futures rebuilt through this initiative.

OUR EDUCATION INITIATIVE

This is the only high school for girls in Daraa. At the moment, 760 students are enrolled. Once rebuilt, the school will be able to educate over 1,500 children. This isn’t just a building, it’s their future. They deserve better. And with your help, we can give it to them.

A rocket crashed through the ceiling of one classroom. Another rocket didn’t explode and was safely diffused. This is what they’re facing. And yet, these girls continue to show up. Over 80% of schools in Daraa have been damaged or destroyed. Thousands of children are forced to learn in overcrowded, unsafe environments, or miss out on school entirely.

Only one in three girls in Daraa completes secondary school. Rebuilding this high school could more than double their chances of finishing their education. This project will give 1,500 children a safe place to learn. That’s 1,500 futures we can help rebuild.

WHAT WE ARE DOING

WHAT WE ARE DOING

Your support will allow us to completely renovate this school. That means rebuilding classrooms with proper roofing, doors, and windows. We’ll supply desks, books, and basic school materials. We'll restore water and electricity, and ensure the school is safe and secure, so these girls can learn in peace.

WHAT WE'VE SEEN

WHAT WE'VE SEEN

These girls are resilient. Even when there’s no roof over their heads, even when the power cuts out, they keep going. They’ve faced war, loss, and fear; but they refuse to give up on their education. They are not broken. They are determined. And they need us.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Every pound makes a difference. Your donations could go towards providing school supplies for children. Repairing part of a damaged classroom. Or can contribute to the full reconstruction of a safe, secure learning space. Whether you give, share, or spread awareness, you’re helping bring back education to a place where it’s needed most.
