REBUILDING CLASSROOMS IN DARAA, SYRIA
We're in Daraa near Damascus. Hospitals, schools, and mosques are gone. Children are trying to learn in the ruins.
REBUILDING CLASSROOMS. RESTORING FUTURES.
We’re rebuilding and renovating the only high school for girls in Daraa, a city devastated by years of war. This school is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s the only place where hundreds of young girls can access secondary education in the region.
1/3
WITHOUT EDUCATION
Only 1 in 3 girls in Daraa finish secondary school. Rebuilding this school will more than double their chances.
80%
SCHOOLS DAMAGED
80% of schools in Daraa are damaged or destroyed. Children are learning in unsafe, overcrowded rooms, or not at all.
1,500
CHILDREN
This project aims to support over 1,500 girls. That’s 1,500 futures rebuilt through this initiative.
OUR EDUCATION INITIATIVE
This is the only high school for girls in Daraa. At the moment, 760 students are enrolled. Once rebuilt, the school will be able to educate over 1,500 children. This isn’t just a building, it’s their future. They deserve better. And with your help, we can give it to them.
A rocket crashed through the ceiling of one classroom. Another rocket didn’t explode and was safely diffused. This is what they’re facing. And yet, these girls continue to show up. Over 80% of schools in Daraa have been damaged or destroyed. Thousands of children are forced to learn in overcrowded, unsafe environments, or miss out on school entirely.
Only one in three girls in Daraa completes secondary school. Rebuilding this high school could more than double their chances of finishing their education. This project will give 1,500 children a safe place to learn. That’s 1,500 futures we can help rebuild.
