KEEP
MALAK ALIVE
“She depends completely on me. She cannot take care of herself at all.”
WE LEFT OUR HOME WITH NO RETURN
"We are a family of eight. I have three sons and three daughters — thank God they are all in good health, except for one child with special needs."
When the shelling began in Shuja’iyya and spread to Al-Tuffah, we were forced to flee in April. We left our home believing we would return within a week. We took nothing with us. No clothes, no blankets, nothing at all. But the days turned into months. Our home was destroyed and now lies within the red zone. We have received no compensation, and the situation grows harder each day, especially with a sick child to care for.
My daughter, Malak, lives with severe and complex needs. Delays in treatment have affected her vision and speech, and years of displacement have made proper healthcare impossible. With little access to therapy, medicine, or nutritious food, her condition has worsened as hunger and scarcity continue to affect families across Gaza.
I treat her like a baby. She needs to be lifted, changed, and fed. She depends completely on me and cannot care for herself. Every moment of the day, she needs support. Without stability, without medical care, and without basic supplies, even the smallest tasks become overwhelming.
I pray for relief and for the chance to give my children warmth, safety, and dignity again. I want Malak to receive the care she deserves and for my family to live without fear of what tomorrow will bring.
