HELP SUHA
CARE FOR
5 ORPHANS
“I am a mother to five orphans, and I have no one left to help us.”
WE LOST OUR HOME AND OUR SECURITY
"My name is Suha Mahmoud Ali Alwan. I am from Jabalia Al-Balad, and I care for five orphaned children."
Before the war, I had a home where my family lived safely. During this conflict, my in-laws were killed, our home was destroyed, and everything we had was lost. Now I care alone for five orphaned children while trying to survive displacement and hardship.
One of my sons was left disabled by the war, and another lost his eyesight. He walks daily to the hospital for therapy for his leg despite the difficult living conditions. Proper treatment is out of reach, and my son urgently needs specialised care.
Today we live in a tent. In winter it floods, and in summer the heat becomes unbearable. We sleep together on two mattresses pushed side by side. We do not have even the basic necessities needed for daily life.
We depend on soup kitchens and the kindness of others for food. Sometimes the children cannot eat what is available, and we often sleep hungry. Markets may have food, but without money we cannot buy even the simplest items.
I have no husband, no parents, and no provider except God. I am trying to protect these children and give them a future, but the burden is heavy. I ask for support to help my children access food, care, and safety.
I hope that with the help of kind people, our lives can improve and the children can live with dignity again. We are tired, but we continue to hold on to hope.
