KILIMANJARO IN PICTURES

Every photo from Kilimanjaro tells a chapter of the same remarkable story, a story of cold sunrises, thin air, tired steps, and unshakeable determination. A story of strangers becoming teammates, and teammates becoming family. From the rainforest to the alpine desert and finally the roof of Africa, these images capture more than just a journey, they capture the spirit of striving for something bigger than ourselves.

Agenda

Day 1 — 28 August

Arrival in Tanzania & Welcome Briefing

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll be greeted by our local team and transferred to the hotel in Moshi. After settling in, enjoy a welcome briefing with your lead guides and support team. This is an opportunity to meet fellow climbers, review the route, check equipment, and prepare mentally for the days ahead. The evening ends with a warm dinner and much-needed rest before the adventure begins.

Day 2–6 — 29 August to 2 September

The Marangu Route Trek Begins

Over the next five days, you’ll trek through the diverse ecosystems of Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route. Each day brings new scenery — from lush rainforest to moorland, alpine desert, and finally the high-altitude slopes leading toward the summit. Daily meals are freshly prepared by the mountain crew. Professional guides accompany you every step of the way, offering safety checks, pace setting, and altitude support. Overnight stays take place in designated mountain huts or campsites, giving you a chance to reconnect, reflect, and prepare for the next ascent. These days are all about steady progress, hydration, teamwork, and acclimatisation.

Day 7 — 3 September

Summit Day & Descent

The most challenging and rewarding day of the entire trek. Starting shortly after midnight, you begin the final push toward Uhuru Peak — 5,895m, the Roof of Africa. With headlamps lighting the path and the support of your guide team, you ascend through the cold, thin air to witness sunrise at the summit — a moment few ever forget. After photos and celebrations, you begin the long descent back toward Horombo or Mandara. The day ends with a celebratory dinner at the base, marking the completion of an incredible achievement.

Day 8–9 — 4–5 September

Rest, Recovery & Optional Adventures

These days offer time to unwind, recharge, and enjoy Tanzania at a slower pace. Options include: Relaxing at the hotel or pool Optional spa or massage Local sightseeing in Moshi Cultural tours, coffee plantation visits, or short nature walks A gentle recovery window after one of the toughest physical challenges of your life.
