In Sudan, more than 30 million people require humanitarian assistance amid escalating conflict, displacement, and hunger.

WHAT'S GOING ON?

 

Sudan is experiencing one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crises. Conflict, displacement, climate shocks, and the collapse of markets and services have left millions of people struggling to access food, healthcare, clean water, and basic necessities. Families, especially women and children, are facing rising hunger, illness, and protection risks in an increasingly fragile environment.

 

Action For Humanity works alongside communities in some of Sudan’s hardest-to-reach areas to meet these urgent needs through practical, people-centred programmes. We focus on emergency food security and nutrition, health and psychosocial support, WASH, basic needs, and community-based protection, delivered in partnership with local organisations and community committees.

HOT MEALS THAT SAVE LIVES

Sudan’s crisis has forced millions from their homes, leaving families facing acute hunger, broken services, and constant uncertainty. In South Kordofan and Blue Nile, displacement, flooding, and market collapse have turned everyday survival into a daily struggle, especially for children and caregivers.

Between 2024 and 2025, your support enabled Action For Humanity to reach over 28,000 people with emergency food and nutrition assistance. We established 10 community kitchens, serving thousands of hot meals; supported 300 households with food parcels; and provided life-saving nutritional supplements to malnourished children, helping families stay nourished, steady, and able to keep going.

CHILD PROTECTION & CARE

Beyond food, families in Sudan need safety, care, and a sense of calm in the storm. Conflict, displacement, and hardship have taken a heavy toll on mental wellbeing, particularly for parents and children living in crowded camps and fragile host communities.

In addition to our food response, more than 4,600 parents and children received psychosocial support and child protection training. Through community sessions and trusted local volunteers, we helped restore routines, reduce anxiety, and rebuild confidence—reminding families they are not facing this alone and that brighter days are still possible.
