WHY DEPLOY TO YEMEN
Yemen has been in crisis for over a decade, with millions of people struggling to survive the compounded impacts of conflict, economic collapse, climate shocks, and displacement. Prolonged war, drought, and flooding have left communities facing severe food and water insecurity, while access to healthcare, education, and livelihoods remains critically limited.
After more than ten years of conflict, Yemen is facing one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crises. An estimated 4.5 million people, around 14% of the population, are internally displaced, while more than 3 million have been forced to flee the country. Seventeen million people are experiencing acute food insecurity, including 5 million on the brink of famine. Without sustained humanitarian intervention, the situation risks further deterioration.
Despite the scale of need, Yemen remains underreported and underfunded, leaving many communities without consistent access to life-saving assistance. Action For Humanity recognises the urgency of this crisis and continues to stand in solidarity with the people of Yemen through long-term, dignified humanitarian support.
