London Islamic Treasure Hunt 

About the Challenge

Join us for a unique, educational, and competitive challenge through Central London. The London Islamic Treasure Hunt, in collaboration with Halal Tourism Britain, takes you on a journey to uncover the city’s hidden Islamic heritage, while raising vital funds for Action For Humanity’s Gaza Firewood Project. 

Teams will solve clues, visit historic sites, and end the day at the iconic East London Mosque for celebrations and prize-giving. 

Grand Prize: A Royal Feast Awaits

The winning team will receive a dining voucher generously donated by Royal Mahal in Tooting, the perfect way to celebrate victory together. To qualify, teams must reach their fundraising target before the event.

Event Details

📍 Location: Central & East London, UK. Starting point: Trafalgar Square. End point: East London Mosque.

📅 Date: Saturday 4th October 2025

👥 Participants: Join as an individual (we’ll assign you to a team of 5) or sign up as a group of 5

👤 Eligibility: Adults 18+ and children (must be accompanied by an adult)

Participant Commitments

+Attend a pre-event briefing (via Microsoft Teams, two weeks prior)

+Take part in the full-day challenge and follow team guidelines

+Set up a fundraising page and raise a minimum of £150

+Join the official WhatsApp group for essential updates and event coordination (mandatory for participation)

+Refrain from posting clues publicly on social media

+Submit group photos at each site visited

Who Can Join?

Open to Muslim adults and families with children (children must be accompanied by an adult). A reasonable level of fitness is required for walking and travelling across the city.

The Cause: Gaza Firewood Distribution

This event supports Action For Humanity’s emergency response in Gaza, providing firewood to 600 displaced families in central and southern Gaza. Each family will receive 60kg of firewood: enough to cook food, boil water, and stay warm for a month.

With cooking gas and electricity almost non-existent, this project offers a lifeline. Your fundraising will help deliver:

+Essential cooking fuel to secure daily meals

+Safer alternatives to harmful makeshift cooking methods

+Support for families’ health, nutrition, and dignity
