For over a decade, Action for Humanity has stood beside the people of Syria, delivering life-saving aid during one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. As Syria begins to reclaim stability, we are shifting from emergency relief to rebuilding a healthier, stronger, unified future: One Syria.
However, Syria’s healthcare system is on its knees. Years of war have left hospitals in ruins, doctors displaced, and communities without care. Millions are still waiting for surgeries, diagnoses, and relief. From Damascus to Idlib, chronic conditions go untreated. Children with correctable conditions live in pain, and lives hang in the balance for lack of basic healthcare.

You'll require a minimum of three years of experience at a consultant level in your field. If you bring professional expertise and a genuine desire to help, we want to hear from you.

You will perform critical life-saving surgeries, deliver specialist care in high-demand areas, train and mentor local healthcare workers, restore dignity and hope to patients and families.

This is more than a medical deployment; it's a chance to deliver surgical care where it's needed most. You'll treat patients who have waited years for life-changing procedures, helping to restore their health, dignity, and hope.
You'll work alongside a global team of professionals in a dynamic, high-impact environment - sharing skills, gaining unique field experience, and supporting the recovery of our Syrian brothers and sisters. We provide comprehensive support, including travel, accommodation, meals, security, translators, and medical supplies.
While fundraising isn't mandatory, we encourage volunteers to help raise around £2,000 each to support mission costs. We'll equip you with everything you need to get started, including setting you up with an online fundraising page.
