OUR
PALESTINE
PROJECTS
This Ramadan, you can feed the hungry, shelter the displaced, and bring comfort to those enduring the worst humanitarian crisis in living memory.
WHAT'S GOING ON?
Palestine continues to bear the scars of unimaginable loss. At least 70,000 people, including over 50,000 children, have been killed or injured in Gaza since October 2023. Half a million remain in catastrophic conditions, facing famine, disease, and displacement.
The ceasefire has finally enabled aid to reach Gaza, a crucial opening for families who have endured deplorable hardship. Yet the crisis is far from over. Homes lie in ruins, hospitals are overwhelmed, and clean water is scarce.
As Palestine begins to heal, your continued compassion will help rebuild lives with dignity and hope. This Ramadan, turn your faith into action. For Palestine, for peace, for humanity.

Family Twinning Initiative
By twinning your family with a family in Gaza for £150 a month, you become a lifeline during one of the most difficult periods they have ever faced. Families have lost their homes, access to clean water is severely limited, healthcare systems are under extreme strain, and food insecurity is at an all-time high. Your monthly support provides direct financial assistance, enabling families to meet their most urgent needs with dignity.
Through this initiative, families can use your support to rebuild damaged or destroyed homes, feed their children with essential food and clean water, and contribute to local economic stability through cash assistance that supports communities as a whole. By extending your table to a family in Gaza, you are offering safety, nourishment, and hope, and helping displaced families begin to rebuild their lives.
10K Food Parcels For Gaza
As hunger in Gaza reaches catastrophic levels, we are delivering 10,000 food parcels, each providing enough food to sustain a family for a full month. More than 1.8 million people are facing extreme hunger, including 200,000 children suffering from acute malnutrition, with nearly half a million people experiencing catastrophic food insecurity, the highest level recorded anywhere in the world. The need for urgent food assistance has never been greater.
Over the past year, we have distributed 16,000 food parcels to displaced families from Gaza, both inside Gaza and to those forced to seek refuge in Egypt. This includes 10,000 parcels already delivered, 2,500 currently en route, and preparations underway for a further 10,000 ahead of Ramadan. Our teams are assembling essential parcels containing rice, flour, lentils, sugar, and oil for safe delivery. With your support, we can continue to reach families still waiting for aid, providing nourishment, dignity, and hope through food assistance, alongside medical care, shelter, psychosocial support, and water and sanitation services.
Clean Water for All
In the western districts of Gaza City, thousands of displaced families are living in makeshift shelters without reliable access to clean drinking water, placing their health and survival at constant risk. Action For Humanity’s Water Distribution for IDPs in Gaza project is delivering an urgent lifeline by providing safe drinking water to more than 44,000 people over a three-month period. The project ensures each person receives a minimum of six litres per day for drinking and cooking, in line with WASH Cluster standards.
Working closely with the WASH Cluster and local partners, teams have prioritised the most vulnerable shelters, launched water trucking operations with strict quality controls, and carried out daily testing to guarantee safety. Community engagement and public health messaging support safe water storage and handling, while feedback systems strengthen accountability. The project will continue daily deliveries and monitoring, expand awareness efforts to reduce contamination risks, and use lessons learned to inform longer-term water, sanitation, and hygiene interventions in Gaza.

Frequently Asked Questions
2023 Emergency Response
Action For Humanity has been leading the response in Gaza since 2021 and has mobilised to support communities with emergency resources throughout the conflict of 2023. Through the support of our donors worldwide, we have so far supported over 900,000 people with food, water, medicine, and sanitation.
With your support, we can continue to stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza, helping them recover and rebuild with dignity and hope.
How does AFH provide medical access?
Our health projects, which provided medical supplies and equipment to Palestinian hospitals, supported 90,000 patients. Following years of conflict, the health sector is in a critical condition, with supplies dangerously low and major gaps in emergency care. Our Medical Response is crucial in bridging these gaps and ensuring everyone can access the treatment they need.
How is AFH providing access to clean water?
Access to clean water remains a major challenge in Palestine. In Gaza, nearly half the population struggles with water scarcity, and only a fraction of wastewater is treated. Every day, 90,000 cubic metres of raw sewage pollute the Mediterranean, increasing the risk of disease.
In response, we’re delivering life-saving water aid:
• Over 42,000 people benefit from solar-powered water filtration units on university campuses.
• Since the Gaza crisis began, we've distributed 54,000 litres of clean water to affected communities.
• Since October 2023, we've installed over 100 emergency toilets in Rafah, ensuring dignified sanitation for men, women, and those with disabilities.
How is AFH providing shelter?
We have built six HOPE camps in Rafah and the Gaza Strip, housing over 9,000 people displaced by the recent military aggression.
Alongside temporary housing solutions, the camps include WASH facilities, medical points, play areas for children and a charitable kitchen to ensure access to clean water and nutritious meals. Through these shelter efforts, we hope to foster resilience and pave the way towards recovery and long-term stability for the affected communities.
How does AFH support children and orphans?
We support 650 orphan households across the West Bank and Jerusalem with cash grants and food vouchers.
We are providing ongoing psychosocial support for children experiencing trauma from the violent escalations in Gaza, facilitating activities such as Art Therapy Sessions, Recreational Games and Sports, Storytelling and Drama Workshops, Music and Dance Therapy, and Social Support Groups. This initiative will help young children in Gaza regain a sense of stability, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
Olive Tree Rehabilitation
Olive trees are an essential symbol of peace, hope, and resilience. They are also a vital source of food and livelihood for many communities across the Middle East.
For Palestine, olive trees have long been a key part of the country's landscape and economy. Olive cultivation in Palestine is considered a basic agricultural option for dry and semi-arid regions, providing sustainable land use. In addition to playing a key role in the economy and employing more than 20% of the workforce, olive oil is also a staple food in homes and a key export for the country. However, olive trees can be susceptible to diseases, pests, and environmental stressors, reducing their productivity.
We rehabilitate old and neglected olive tree farms to help restore degraded landscapes, prevent soil erosion, and support livelihoods. Please donate today to help support one of our key projects in Palestine.
