OUR
YEMEN
PROJECTS
After more than a decade of war, Yemen remains one of the world’s hungriest crises. Millions of families still lack food, water, and healthcare.
What's Going On?
This Ramadan, Action For Humanity is on the ground delivering food parcels, hot meals, and clean water to families across Aden, Taiz, and Lahij. With your support, we can reach many more.
Your Zakat and Sadaqah will fill empty tables, restore health, and bring relief where famine and conflict have left despair. Every meal served is a prayer answered; every act of giving is an act of faith that sustains life.
Empowering
Local Fisheries
Yemen’s fishery sector plays a crucial role in economic recovery and resilience. Together with local and international partners, Action For Humanity is empowering small-scale fisheries, ensuring sustainable livelihoods for coastal communities.
Fishermen, women, and children face immense challenges in maintaining their fisheries, as war and destruction have damaged their boats, engines, and nets beyond repair. Without proper equipment, many are unable to work, leaving them and their families without a source of income.
As of early 2025, Action for Humanity has assisted families in some of Yemen’s most impoverished areas by providing assets and cash assistance alongside business training. This project improved the resilience of 480 households by providing livelihood opportunities to those most in need.
With your support, we can continue expanding workshops, providing essential repairs, and restoring the livelihoods of Yemen’s fishermen.
Disabilities
in Yemen
We have established strong foundations for inclusive and accountable delivery by coordinating with local disability organisations and relevant authorities to identify beneficiaries. A clear eligibility and needs-assessment process is in place to ensure fair and transparent selection.
To support accountability, a MEAL framework has been set up, including a helpdesk, hotline, and complaint mechanisms, alongside robust risk mitigation and safeguarding protocols to prevent exploitation and ensure responsible delivery.
Next, the project will move into implementation, including the procurement and distribution of 42 assistive devices tailored to individual needs. This will be supported by beneficiary assessments, training on safe use and maintenance, and active monitoring through on-site engagement and feedback channels.
Partnerships with local disability organisations will be strengthened for sustained advocacy, and the project will conclude with comprehensive reporting covering impact stories, lessons learned, and sustainability planning.
