What’s Going On?
Nearly a third of Lebanon’s population is facing acute food insecurity following the escalation of conflict in late 2024, and the impact of violence on the economy and agriculture means that the risk of malnutrition remains high.
At least 1.3 million people in Lebanon have been displaced, with many forced to flee their homes with almost no possessions. They are vulnerable to hunger, financial instability, and lack of shelter, particularly among women, children, older people, and those with disabilities.
We launch targeted food distribution projects each year, ensuring vulnerable families receive essential meals to observe Ramadan without the fear of hunger overshadowing their worship.
