YEMEN HARBOR PROJECT
Restoring livelihoods and resilience for fisherfolk in Yemen through equipment, training, and sustainable market access.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
After years of protracted conflict, Yemen’s fishing communities are struggling to survive. Once a vital economic lifeline, the fishery sector has been devastated by insecurity, displacement, fuel shortages, and import restrictions. With production down by 50% since the war began, thousands of families face hunger, loss of income, and collapsing resilience.
The HARBOR project is Action For Humanity’s response - a one-year project to restore livelihoods for vulnerable fisherfolk in Sana’a and Hudaydah. By providing equipment, training, and pathways to local markets, the project will help 300 fishermen and their families regain stability, dignity, and the ability to support their communities.
