CLEAN WATER FOR PALESTINIANS
Providing clean and safe drinking water to over 44,000 people in Gaza City during their critical time of need.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
In the western districts of Gaza City, thousands of displaced families live in makeshift shelters, having fled relentless conflict from the north. Without reliable access to clean water, they face daily risks to their health, dignity, and survival.
Action for Humanity’s Water Distribution for IDPs in Gaza project is an urgent response to this crisis. Over three months, we will deliver safe drinking water to 7,392 displaced families, more than 44,000 people, ensuring each person receives at least six litres per day for a whole week, in line with WASH Cluster standards for drinking and cooking.
Our teams coordinate with the WASH Cluster and local stakeholders to target the shelters most in need, guarantee water quality through rigorous daily testing, and promote safe water handling practices through leaflets, posters, and community engagement.
