How is Action For Humanity getting aid into Gaza?

For 15 months, Gaza has been forced over the brink. Men, women, and children have been bombed, starved, and displaced. Aid has been restricted to a trickle; some days going as low as 30 trucks entering into the region. While that number has grown dramatically in recent weeks, the challenges are far from over.

2 million of Gaza’s 2.1 million citizens are currently experiencing food insecurity. Every one of these 2 million are facing levels of malnutrition and difficulty accessing food. For many, the situation is far worse.

Over 560,000 people have returned to their homes in North Gaza, following months of Israeli blockade, but due to intense bombing, the entire region has been turned to rubble. Homes have been decimated and infrastructure supplying water and electricity will take years to rebuild.

As Palestinians continue to fight for survival, the death toll has continued to climb. While the true number of deaths will take years to quantify, in the latest update from the Gaza Ministry of Health, the number of people killed since October 2023 has now jumped from 45,000 to 62,000.

Even though aid has increased since the ceasefire came into effect on the 19th of January, thousands continue to suffer through trauma and devastation brought on by the man-made limitations on aid access.

So that begs the question: how is your donation reaching Palestinains in Gaza?

Delivering aid in crisis zones is always an immense task. Over the course of 14 years, we have provided sustainable development solutions and immediate relief to millions of people around the world. From Gaza and Syria, to Yemen, Pakistan, we ensure that your donation reaches those who need it most, directly and efficiently.

From our international headquarters in Manchester, we work closely with our teams on the ground to meticulously plan and execute every relief effort. By using multiple strategies, and partnering with local communities, we’re able to get critical supplies and support to Palestinian.

How We Deliver Aid in Gaza

We use multiple strategies to get critical supplies and support to Palestinian families:

Coordinating with Suppliers in Neighboring Countries

We purchase aid from suppliers in Egypt and other nearby countries, then transport it via land borders. Though access is slow and challenging, we have already delivered two major shipments, each consisting of eight trucks, bringing over 400 tons of life-saving supplies to Gaza!

Purchasing Relief Items Within Gaza

Due to skyrocketing prices, buying supplies locally is not always a viable option. For example, the cost of a single bag of flour has surged to $250. To avoid driving prices even higher, we only purchase goods locally when it is economically responsible. This approach has allowed us to reach hundreds of thousands of people in dire need.

Providing Long-Term, Sustainable Solutions

Beyond emergency relief, we invest in sustainable projects that promote long-term stability.

We have:

  • Built shelters that have provided safe housing for thousands.

  • Installed solar panels to restore power to those in darkness.

  • Established hygienic toilet and shower facilities, restoring dignity to displaced families.

Supporting the Mental Well-Being of Gaza’s Children

Every child in Gaza has been deeply traumatized. Their childhoods have been stolen. While no amount of aid can erase their suffering, we are committed to providing psychosocial support, safe spaces, and enrichment programs to help them heal.

Making a Real Impact, Together

There is no one-size-fits-all solution to delivering aid in Gaza; this crisis is unprecedented. But with our dedicated teams on the ground, we are doing everything possible to ensure that your donations create meaningful, life-saving change.

Together, we are making a difference.
