OUR WATER PROJECTS
Water is survival. Too many are living without it.
THE CLEAN WATER CRISIS
2 billion people live without clean water. That’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide, or ten times the population of the UK. Most live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their families.
Not only does walking for water keep children out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water they collect often carries diseases that can make everyone sick.
But access to clean water means education, income, and health, especially for women and children.
STORIES OF CHANGE
“Now I have clean water, everything has changed. Thank you, Action For Humanity.”
— Iqra, Syria
When her village’s borehole was restored, Iqra no longer had to walk hours in the heat to fetch water. Now she can go to school, her family can cook, and her community is healthier.
CLEAN WATER CHANGES EVERYTHING
Access to safe water changes and transforms lives. It’s the foundation for health, education, empowerment, and livelihoods.
At Action For Humanity, we tackle the water crisis through sustainable, dignified, and community-led projects, ensuring families have reliable access for years to come.
Health
Clean water prevents deadly diseases like cholera and typhoid, keeping families strong and communities thriving.
Education
When water is close to home, children, especially girls, can spend their days in classrooms instead of walking long distances.
Empowerment
In 7 out of 10 households where water is off-premises, women and girls are responsible for collecting it. Bringing water closer frees them to learn, work, and lead.
Livelihoods
Reliable water sources help families grow crops, care for livestock, and earn a stable income.
