10K Food Parcels - Responding to Gaza's Hunger Crisis
Two years into the conflict, Gaza’s humanitarian crisis has entered a devastating new phase. Families are not only facing food shortages, but they are also facing hunger, malnutrition, and loss of life. Across the Gaza Strip, the collapse of essential services, the destruction of farmland, and the blockade of aid have combined to create one of the most severe hunger crises in recent history.
Recent UN and humanitarian data show that more than 1.8 million people in Gaza are experiencing extreme hunger, while 200,000 children are suffering from acute malnutrition. In July 2025 alone, the World Health Organisation recorded nearly 12,000 children under five with acute malnutrition, the highest monthly figure on record. Famine conditions have been officially confirmed in several parts of Gaza, and reports continue to emerge of people, including children, dying from starvation and malnutrition.
The drivers of this crisis are as complex as they are devastating. Food, water, medicine, and fuel remain critically restricted. Agricultural lands have been destroyed, markets are shattered, and families have lost access to the most basic means of survival. With 98% of cropland destroyed or inaccessible, Gaza’s ability to produce or import food has all but vanished. Humanitarian access is limited and dangerous, leaving many families to go without food for days. Parents are skipping meals so their children can eat, and children are showing signs of severe undernourishment that will affect their health for life.
In the face of these conditions, Action For Humanity’s work in Gaza has never stopped. Since 2023, we have delivered over 100 emergency projects, reaching nearly 900,000 people with essential services including food, water, shelter, and medical support. Through our dedicated field teams and partners, we’ve distributed hundreds of thousands of hot meals, fresh produce, and essential hygiene kits, and installed solar-powered water systems to sustain communities where infrastructure has collapsed. Every parcel, every meal, and every litre of clean water delivered has been a message of solidarity: you are not forgotten.
Now, as hunger deepens, AFH is launching a new response — 10,000 Food Parcels for Gaza.
Our teams in Egypt are preparing 10,000 essential food parcels filled with rice, flour, lentils, sugar, and oil, ready for delivery directly into Gaza. Each parcel provides a family with food for an entire month. Together, we aim to raise £1 million in eight weeks, which will be enough to deliver all 10,000 parcels to families still waiting for help.
In a time when hunger has become a weapon of war, providing food is a form of resistance against despair. Each donation helps deliver life-saving nutrition and restores dignity to those enduring unimaginable loss.
Gaza’s people have endured two years of relentless hardship, yet their resilience remains unbroken. With your support, we can keep that resilience alive. We can ensure that families sit down to a meal tonight, that children grow stronger, and that hope continues to reach Gaza, one parcel, one meal, one family at a time.
Now is the time to stand with Gaza.
