Emergency Distribution of Food Assistance Under the 10,000 Food Parcels Campaign in Gaza City

As the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip continues to deepen, displaced families across Gaza City are facing extreme food insecurity, with limited access to basic nutrition. In response to these urgent needs, Action For Humanity continues to implement rapid, life-saving food interventions as part of the 10,000 Food Parcels Campaign.

Immediate Action Without Delay

Under current conditions, delaying assistance can mean the difference between hunger and survival. For this reason, Action For Humanity prioritised immediate distribution rather than waiting for the final preparation of physical food boxes.

While this intervention represents food boxes in content and value, the boxes themselves were not yet ready at the time of distribution. Given the severity of need on the ground, the decision was taken to proceed immediately by distributing the food items directly to families, ensuring no household was left waiting for support.

Locally Procured, Locally Distributed

All food items for this distribution were procured entirely within Gaza and distributed inside Gaza. This approach allowed for a faster response, reduced logistical delays, and supported local markets during an exceptionally difficult period.

By sourcing locally, Action For Humanity was able to respond swiftly to urgent needs while maintaining accountability and operational efficiency.

Distribution Overview

As part of this phase of the campaign, 254 food parcels were distributed in a single day to displaced families living in camps across Gaza City. This intervention will continue in the coming days, with the goal of reaching a total of 782 vulnerable families.

Each parcel contains essential food items intended to support households facing acute shortages and prolonged displacement.

More Than Food, A Commitment to Dignity

For families who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and access to stable food supplies, these distributions represent more than nourishment. They offer dignity, reassurance, and a reminder that they have not been forgotten.

Parents are able to provide for their children, even under the harshest conditions, and families are supported to endure another day with strength and resilience.

Continuing the 10,000 Food Parcels Campaign

This distribution forms part of Action For Humanity’s wider 10,000 Food Parcels Campaign, which aims to reach thousands of families across Gaza with essential food assistance.

As needs continue to grow, Action For Humanity remains committed to delivering timely, responsible, and compassionate aid, adapting approaches as required to ensure support reaches those who need it most.
