SHIFA'S STRUGGLE TO STAY WARM
At 70 years old, Shifa collects scraps of cardboard to keep her grandchildren warm as displaced families across Gaza face another harsh winter.
OUR NIGHTS ARE FILLED WITH HUNGER AND COLD
"Our days are spent scavenging for survival. Our nights are filled with hunger and cold. Smoke fills our tent as the fire struggles to keep us warm, and outside, the sound of the sea and bombing is a constant reminder of how fragile our life has become."
Shifa is a 70-year-old grandmother who has been displaced from her home in Gaza. After enduring repeated displacement and more than a year of hardship, she is now struggling to keep herself and her grandchildren warm.
With no reliable heating, Shifa collects scraps of cardboard and other materials to burn for warmth. The cold is making her existing health condition worse, while her young grandchildren are also suffering from illness. Separated from her children and struggling to access basic necessities, Shifa faces another winter in extremely difficult conditions.
No family should have to face winter without adequate shelter and warmth. Your donation can help Action For Humanity provide essential winter supplies, including thermal blankets, warm clothing and shelter protection, to families affected by conflict and displacement.
