EDUCATION IS THE DIFFERENCE
Ahmed wishes he could play sports. Instead he walks miles each day to collect water. Education is the difference.
Fatima stopped speaking when the bombs fell. Now she must learn to speak again. Education is the difference.
For millions of children, education is the difference between hope and hardship. The key to a better future, it enables young people to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential.
But, across the globe, more than 78 million children are out of school, leaving them highly vulnerable to poverty and poor health.
With no school to provide a sanctuary, exploitation becomes difficult to avoid. Parents resort to sending their children to work so that they help put food on the table.
No child should live like this. No child should be denied a childhood.
With your support, we can be the difference for millions of children living in crises zones. From mobile learning centres in Syria, to new schools in Yemen, we’re on the ground implementing projects designed to give all children the ability to learn.
Education is the difference. Support our Education projects today.
DONATE NOWEducation Projects in Yemen
Since the beginning of the conflict in 2015, attacks on school children, teachers and education infrastructure have devastated Yemen’s education system.
5.6 million children live in areas with severe to catastrophic education needs. The crisis is compounded by teachers being irregularly paid, leading to two-thirds of the workforce dropping out.
From rehabilitating schools that were damaged through conflict, to providing resources that ensure a safe and healthy environment, we’re undertaking a range of projects designed to bridge the education gap.

Education Projects in Lebanon
Syrian refugees in Lebanon face huge difficulties accessing the basic right of education. Poverty, exploitation and the need for legal residency in the country are just some of the obstacles faced. This has created a situation where less than 1% of Syrian refugee children pass grade 9.
Through our Education Programme, we provide quality education to refugee children living in camps. 474 children have been enrolled in our school in the Bekaa Valley, and 39 teachers have been hired, all of whom from the refugee community.
